CONFERENCERecommendations for enhancing the user experience of virtual assistants are based on the findings of the Latvian Council of Science fundamental and applied research project "Humanising chatbots: conversation-based solutions for chatbot user experience enhancement" (No. lzp-2021/1-0151). The recommendations are based on the empirical research conducted within the project and the insights formulated in scientific publications. They focus on virtual assistants operated by public authorities and, as such, subject to heightened requirements for the accuracy and precision of the information provided, in line with the principle of legitimate expectation.
